This engineering position specializes in the area of national and international standards and codes as applied to NMHG products. Primary duties involve the management of UL files for all counterbalanced product, record-keeping for UL plant inspections worldwide, and facilitating UL compliance testing. Secondary duties include the creation and maintenance of Engineering Standards and Test Engineering Procedures. This position assures product compliance for safety, market, and products liability purposes, and provides related guidance to Engineering and other affected functions. JOB DUTIES: • Develop and maintain extensive UL files • Technical writing & record-keeping • Assess product compliance with standards and codes • Provide guidance to NMHG engineering community regarding suitability of materials for applications • Coordinate payments and assist in managing the UL budget • Coordinate and assist in on-site UL testing activities

• Bachelor degree in engineering • 3-5 year hands-on experience performing tests according to established procedures, or equivalent practical experience • 3-5 years working with off-road products • Demonstrated analytical skills • Demonstrated technical writing & record-keeping experience • Strong organization skills including the ability to coordinate and lead the activities of various people and groups for short-term projects • Understanding of product liability issues and concerns
